Maths – In Maths we follow the White Rose hub scheme of learning.
This term we will start with a close link with our Science week. Therefore, we will begin with Time. This will include telling the time - o'clock and half past, ordering the parts of the day and knowing the days of the week and months of the year.
We will then move onto Multiplication and Division. This will include repeated addition, counting in 2s, 5s and 10s and sharing amounts. There will be lots of opportunities to use manipulatives to explain answers and learning, and we will continue to recap our bonds to 10, 20.

English – We follow Ruth Miskin's Read Write Inc

The children will then return to their own classes for a further English lesson to practice their skills. This term we will be focusing on writing non - fiction texts and using their features.
To help at home you could.....

- Listen to your child read daily
- Practise correct letter formation (lower case and capital letters)
- Talk to your child about any new vocabulary you come across in books
- Support them to read, use and write the red words (e.g my, saw, was, what, they)
